It's so rewarding ...

It's so rewarding to see the change in attitude and physical stature of breast reduction patients.

Before surgery, they often suffer from chronic neck, back, and shoulder pain. These patients have difficulty exercising and usually suffer from rashes under their breasts. They tell me it’s difficult to find clothes that fit properly. For teenagers, it's especially frustrating, because they’re often teased by their peers. Many have a negative view of themselves.

I’m amazed at the dramatic change that takes place for these patients just 24 hours after surgery. Their most common statement is, "I wonder why I waited so long."

Several weeks later, many of them feel so good about the immediate change, they begin to exercise more regularly. They are no longer self-conscious, and they truly take pride in their physical appearance.
