Abdominoplasty

For a smoother, flatter appearance, abdominoplasty, more commonly known as a "tummy tuck," is performed by Dr. Kenneth Odinet to remove excess skin and fat from your middle and lower abdomen, and tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. The best candidates for abdominoplasty are men and women in relatively good shape that are unhappy with a large fat deposit or loose abdominal skin that has not responded to diet and exercise. This surgery is particularly helpful if you have abdominal skin and muscles that have been stretched to the point of no return through multiple pregnancies. It is also beneficial to patients who have experienced a loss of skin elasticity due to obesity and have recently undergone gastric bypass or gastric banding. No matter the cause, you will immediately notice a smoother, flatter tummy.

A tummy tuck involves an incision across the abdomen, which can easily be concealed by underwear and bathing suite. Next, Dr. Odinet tightens the abdominal muscles that have weakened and have caused the abdomen to lose its shape. Excess fat and abdominal tissue are then removed, resulting in a flatter, firmer abdominal contour. Within a week or two, you should be standing tall and confident about your new slimmer profile.
