Botox® Cosmetic is a neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes “dynamic” wrinkles—wrinkles not present when the face has a normal, neutral expression. Botox® Cosmetic is injected in liquid form into the muscle underlying the wrinkle. It inhibits muscle contraction.
Botox® Cosmetic can be used on the forehead, frown lines, as well as crow’s feet around the eyes. Results can be seen within three to seven days and may last 2 to 4 months.
